Danielle Boodoo-Fortuné is a writer, visual artist and teacher from Trinidad and Tobago. Her writing has been featured in journals such as POETRY Magazine, Poetry London, The Rialto, the Prairie Schooner, Bim: Arts for the 21st Century, the Caribbean Writer, Small Axe Literary Salon, and others. She was the winner of the 2016 Wasafiri New Writing Prize, the 2018 Hollick Arvon Prize, and was shortlisted for the Montreal Poetry Prize.
Her first collection of poems, Doe Songs, was awarded the OCM Bocas Prize for Caribbean Poetry in 2019. Danielle’s art has been exhibited and published widely. She is the illustrator of the Earthcraft Oracle, as well as many other books.
